  Y-link eNews: July 2018

Hello Visitor,

Welcome to the latest edition of our Y-link eNews newsletter.

Since our last newsletter we have completed several projects including a Bushfire Management Plan in support of a development application to Moreton Bay Regional Council, a Site Based Environmental Management Plan and Landscape Rehabilitation Plan for a quarry, and in NSW an Environmental Protection Licence (EPL) application to the NSW EPA on behalf of a resource recovery operation north of Sydney.

Next month is shaping up to be just as busy with the continuation of a contaminated land investigation project on behalf of Toowoomba Regional Council, a couple of bulk water infrastructure asset investigation projects on behalf of Seqwater, a PMAV application in conjunction with a proposed subdivision, and another noise impact assessment in NSW.

Happy reading!

Release of Queensland's Open Mosaic Imagery
The Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME) has just released a new publically available 2017 satellite image mosaic of Queensland.  The mosaic was acquired under the Queensland Government's QSat initiative and comprises of more than 102,000 ‘tiles’ of imagery - with each tile representing an area of 5km x 5km.  Each tile was derived from the best visuals captured between July and September 2017.  You can find the details of the imagery, including the metadata, in the Queensland Spatial Catalogue (QSpatial).  You can locate and view the imagery in Queensland Globe and download tile by tile imagery via QImagery.
