Toowoomba Regional Council engaged Yarramine to deliver aquatic and terrestrial Fauna Spotter Catcher services during the Melrose Road Bridge replacement project, spanning the North Branch of the Condamine River. This $4.35 million initiative was jointly funded by the Australian Government’s Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program, which contributed $2.55 million, and Toowoomba Regional Council, which provided $1.8 million. The project involved constructing a new two-lane concrete bridge to replace the aging single-lane timber bridge on Melrose Road in Brookstead. Yarramine’s scope of works encompassed the safe capture and relocation of wildlife during demolition, dewatering, and tree clearing operations. Additional tasks included conducting animal breeding site surveys and delivering comprehensive pre- and post-clearing reports. |
