To ensure compliance with site and operational noise limits, Russell Mineral Equipment engaged Yarramine to perform noise measurements on various mining equipment developed as part of its research and development (R&D) program.

As part of this process, Yarramine assessed the noise levels produced by RME's new-generation pneumatic recoilless Thunderbolt Hammer during product testing.  This specialised tool is designed to help miners efficiently replace worn liner bolts on mineral grinding mills.

Based on the findings, recommendations were made to optimise the hammer testing cell and methodology, ensuring adherence to noise limits during R&D testing.
