Since 2013, Yarramine has conducted regular occupational dust monitoring and reviews at the Bayer CropScience cotton research centre in Toowoomba. This facility operates a resistance monitoring program for Bollgard® 3, which includes rearing and genetically testing Helicoverpa spp. moths sourced from cotton-growing regions across Australia.

To ensure the safety of research staff working with moth colonies at the facility, dust monitoring plays a vital role in verifying the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce exposure risks.
